Berzerk "De Rebote"

Berzerk is a Brazilian fitness fashion brand focused on offering the best range of products across a mix of categories: underwear, sweatshirts, oversized pieces, outlet items, tech polyamide, and street-style tank tops.

The brand’s strategy focuses on promoting its products through influencers from the bodybuilding and fitness world. The next chosen influencer was Gabriel Ganley, popularly known as “Bebê Rebote.”

Research

The concept of the film centers on introducing the influencer as the brand’s ambassador. Since he is known as “Rebote,” a term used in bodybuilding for athletes who need to hit a target weight, the client chose football as the main theme.

The visual style combines two aesthetics: 16-bit and 2D animation, set in a football-themed universe called Liga dos Marombas.

One of the chosen references was the anime Super Onze, where the football setting evokes an all-or-nothing sense of athletic conflict, but without the fantastical element of superpowers.

Solution

After the script was developed and approved, an illustrator animated around nine key frames to build the atmosphere and tension of the narrative leading up to the film’s conclusion the rebound goal.
